Terms of Service
Last updated: May 8, 2026
These Terms govern your access to and use of LitTrack ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a law firm or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
1. Account Registration
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@littrack.co of any unauthorized use.
2. Subscription & Billing
LitTrack is offered on a subscription basis. Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) according to the plan you select. Trials, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing on at least 30 days' notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
3. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate the rights of others.
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the operation of the Service.
- Do not upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or scrape the Service.
- Do not resell, sublicense, or expose the Service to non-authorized users without a separate written agreement.
4. Your Content & Attorney–Client Privilege
You retain all rights to case data, documents, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant LitTrack a limited license to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you.
No attorney–client relationship. LitTrack is software, not a law firm. Use of the Service does not create an attorney–client relationship between you and LitTrack. Deadlines, statute-of- limitations calculations, and other outputs are tools to assist your professional judgment — not legal advice. You remain solely responsible for verifying every output before relying on it in your practice.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, designs, and trademarks, is owned by LitTrack and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
6. Confidentiality & Privacy
We treat Your Content as confidential and handle it in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not disclose Your Content except as permitted by you, required by law, or to the service providers necessary to operate LitTrack.
7. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms or for non-payment. On termination, you may export Your Content for 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT DEADLINES, CALCULATIONS, COURT RULES, OR AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS ARE ACCURATE OR CURRENT. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INDEPENDENTLY VERIFYING ALL OUTPUTS BEFORE RELYING ON THEM.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LITTRACK AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify LitTrack against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any third- party right.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
